We’re helping Shelby put together more Living Room Shows in September and October.

We’ll make this as easy as possible for the hosts. All you have to do is let us borrow your living room for about 3 hours and check names off the guest list at the door as people arrive. In return you’ll get 5 additional free tickets for friends and our eternal gratitude.

We’re looking for hosts on the east coast of North America in and around these cities.

Here’s how it works:

1. You have a house, loft space, art gallery, or other space that can comfortably and safely host 35-50 people. Be realistic on how many people your place can hold. We need to know how many tickets we can sell in advance. We’ve found that 35-50 people is what the average living room can hold. There needs to be enough parking or public transportation nearby and your neighbors should be cool. It would be a huge bummer if someone called the cops because of all the extra cars and people coming to your house. You probably shouldn’t do this if you live in a small apartment with a bunch of uptight neighbors or a cranky landlord. Sorry, we can’t do these shows outside.

2. Ticket price will be $15. Everyone must buy tickets in advance. No tickets will be sold at the door. There will be no reselling or third-party tickets sales. All tickets sales are direct to fans from Undertow. Limit 4 tickets per person. We want everyone to have the same chance of getting tickets.

3. We’ll provide the host with a detailed list of everyone coming to the show. The host won’t have to deal with any money and will only need to check people off the list as they arrive.

4. The host gets 5 additional free tickets for the show. If you have other friends beyond your 5 free who want to come to the show you should direct them buy tickets on-line.

5. Your home address will not be published on the web and will only be given to people who purchase tickets.

6. The shows will promoted on our websites, Facebook and Twitter and word-of-mouth.

7. We’ll need your help to spread the word on your Facebook and Twitter too. We’ll create a Facebook event for each show so you can easily invite your friends (Thank you!).

8. You don’t need any sort of sound system. All you need is a chair for Shelby to sit on and some kind of ambient lighting like a lamp on coffee table, floor lamp, or overhead lights with a dimmer.

9. There will be no opening acts on the living room shows.

We’re pleased to announced the reissue of  “Murder of Tides” and “Vultures Await” for the first time on vinyl.

Our goal was to create the best sounding albums possible. The running time for Murder of Tides was short enough to comfortably fit on two sides of a single LP while maintaining the highest possible sound quality. The running time of Vultures Await was just at the limit of being able to fit on two sides of a single LP. Instead of trying to squeeze the entire album on a single and compromising the fidelity, we decided to spread the album out over four sides to create an a fantastic sounding double LP set.

The audio has been remastered for vinyl by TW Walsh and the artwork has been reformatted from the original hi-resoulution elements for the new album jackets. New full-color LP labels were created for this reissues.

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah are celebrating the 10th Anniversary of their debut album and will be touring across America, Canada, Spain, Mexico and South America this summer playing the first album in it’s entirety along with other favorites from the catalog.

After being out of print for many years, the album has been remastered for vinyl by TW Walsh and will be available on transparent gold vinyl. Both CD & LP formats come with a custom download card that includes 12 all-new, solo acoustic, cassette tape recordings by the Alec. These new versions were recorded on the heels of an extensive Living Room Tour with no stages or sound systems. Alec wanted to record intimate versions of these songs the way he’s been playing them at shows; stripped down to just his voice and guitar with no barrier between him and the listener

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Headphones album, David Bazan will be doing a Living Room Tour that’ll focus heavily on songs from that album, along with songs from the Bazan and Pedro The Lion catalog. David will be joined by Yuuki Mathews on these shows.

Tickets for the last tour sold out very quickly so we decided to book a couple of nights in a few towns so more people have chance to get tickets. We also have a new ticketing system that’s more streamlined that should help make the buying process and ticket downloads a little easier. And to avoid a massive rush for tickets… we’re putting tickets on sale in two phases.

Sorry, we can’t do these shows outside, unless specifically cleared with the band ahead of time.

2. Ticket price will be $30. Everyone must buy tickets in advance. No tickets will be sold at the door. There will be no reselling or third-party tickets sales. All tickets sales are direct to fans from Undertow. Limit 4 tickets per person. We want everyone to have the same chance of getting tickets.
