Artist Management Assistant

Undertow is seeking a friendly, reliable person to assist our team of artist managers with various tasks in our Champaign IL office. This is a part-time position (20 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 2pm – 6pm ). Hourly pay will be based on qualifications and relevant experience.

Our ideal candidate:
+ Self-motivated, able to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
+ Strong communication skills.
+ Proficient in Mac OS, Apple iOS, Apple Mail, Apple iWork Apps, Google Docs, WordPress, SquareSpace.
+ Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign is a plus but not required.
+ Comfortable using social media platforms; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Hootsuite.

Job duties include:
+ Gathering info from venues and living room show hosts to create tour books and itineraries.
+ Adding tour dates to artist websites, Facebook, BandsInTown, SongKick.
+ Creating content and updating artist websites and social media accounts.
+ Interacting with artists, venues, record labels, booking agents, publicists and fans.
+ Helping with mail order processing and shipping when needed.
+ Running local errands to the post office, coffee shop, bank, etc.
