Bio and Discography
Tim is a highly skilled and regarded musician as well as an engineer and producer. As a musician who plays the drums, bass, and guitars, Tim has played in American Music Club, The Toiling Midgets and Sleepers, among others. As a producer who's particularly attracted to strong songwriting, his credits include work with American Music Club, Chuck Prophet, Mark Kozelek of Red House Painters, and Hannah Marcus.
Records he most admires are Neil Young "After the Gold Rush," Joy Division "Closer," The Rolling Stones "Beggars Banquet," Sparklehorse "Vivadixiesubmarinetransmissionplot," Bill Withers "Just As I Am," Velvet Underground "Velvet Underground," Goldfrapp "Felt Mountain," Portishead "Dummy," and Dusty Springfield "Dusty in Memphis." He feels each of these albums defy categorization and literally create their own world.

Tim's just completed producing and engineering a haunting collection of murder ballads by old Vanguard artist, Bob Frank, along with Tupelo, MS resident, John Murray. Many folks are circling with interest around this one, and understandably! And apparently, the record release party in the East Bay was the place to be, with friend Chuck Prophet helping with the festivites....
Tim's also been working with the Roman Evening boys, as they've begun a new collaboration, "Size Queens." Captured mostly live in the studio, it's a really spontaneous feeling record, filled with lyrical sarcasm and yet some extremely beautiful ballads.... a really fun record, needless to say!
Tim's own studio, Closer Recording, is an analog & digital recording studio located in the SOMA district of San Francisco offering high quality audio recording in a comfortable atmosphere. Containing a live room, an isolation room, and a vocal booth, it boasts a wide array of compressors, preamps, effects, and microphones.
